St. David’s Uniting Church Terip-Ruffy

St David’s Uniting Church Terip-Ruffy was opened in 1894 and, after originally being attached to Alexandra, is now connected with Euroa since 1935. Over its long history the Church has played an important part in the local community, enjoyed a large congregation, a very healthy Sunday school and in the 1980s even saw the formation of a Youth Group. The situation today is unfortunately quite different. The number of people attending the Sunday services, conducted twice a month by Rev. Glenys Gill from Euroa, has dropped to a critical low and we face the closure of the church, unless more community members will support it.

The small congregation is active not just at Sunday services but tries to outreach to the broader community. Examples of this are the collection of goods at Harvest Festival for distribution to needy families. A regular luncheon for the Seniors in our area, prepared by a few church members and other volunteers, is held every third Monday of the month in the Church hall.
